About PAIR-IT

This project addresses three central needs for interdisciplinary preparation in special education and school psychology:

  1. To increase the number of personnel fully credentialed to serve children with disabilities with high-intensity needs, given demonstrated national and regional shortages of school psychologists and special education teachers, particularly chronic shortages within the state of Texas.
  2. To provide interdisciplinary preparation of special education teachers and school psychologists to improve team-based collaboration with diverse stakeholders who provide services to children with disabilities with high-intensity needs.
  3. To deliver efficient, evidence-based, high-quality integrated services provided by fully credentialed special education teachers and school psychologists with advanced expertise in serving children with disabilities with high-intensity needs.
