About PAIR-IT
This project addresses three central needs for interdisciplinary preparation in special education and school psychology:
- To increase the number of personnel fully credentialed to serve children with disabilities with high-intensity needs, given demonstrated national and regional shortages of school psychologists and special education teachers, particularly chronic shortages within the state of Texas.
- To provide interdisciplinary preparation of special education teachers and school psychologists to improve team-based collaboration with diverse stakeholders who provide services to children with disabilities with high-intensity needs.
- To deliver efficient, evidence-based, high-quality integrated services provided by fully credentialed special education teachers and school psychologists with advanced expertise in serving children with disabilities with high-intensity needs.
